We are pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus McConnell as a Partner at Gresham Legal with effect from 1 January 2022.
Marcus specialises in complex and high value cross-border commercial litigation across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on civil fraud and asset recovery, company law matters including shareholder / director claims, partnership disputes, failed investments and arbitral challenges. Since joining the firm in 2017, Marcus has acted on several of our most significant cases, and is currently part of the team representing the Province of Balochistan in its application to the Commercial Court in London to set aside a Partial Award made by an ICC arbitral tribunal appointed to hear a US$6 billion claim brought by Tethyan Copper Company Limited Pty.

The firm is currently representing one of the defendants in fraud and conspiracy claims brought by the ex-wife of Oleg Bourlakov against him and others worth approximately US$1.5 billion.
